YafRay has many features. For example, with YafRay, you can create fantastic images and animations of a photorealistic quality. Also as an external render engine, Blender, that is an open source software for 3D modeling, animation, rendering, post-production, interactive creation and playback, integrates with YafRay.

YafRay uses Montecarlo and Quasimontecarlo approximations. With help of this, YafRay can iluminate scenes by means of a complete global ilumination system. YafRay has photon mapping system, irradiance cache and shadow refinement. With these features, you can solve the ilumination problems that occur when inside inner spaces.
